SLN Advisory Council Standing Committees

  • The following standing committees/workgroups will be headed by SLN Managers: Membership, Education and Professional Development, Learning Management System Application Services and End-User Help Desk.
  • Each committee will have 5 members.  To accommodate the interest of other volunteers they may be invited to participate in other capacities (i.e., focus groups).

  • The committees will receive general strategic and tactical direction from SLN.

  • The following is a timeline for finalizing the committees:
    • Week of 6/2 2nd round of volunteer solicitation e-mails go out
    • June 16 – last day accepting volunteers or nominations for participation
    • June 23 – Final list of standing committee members available to Council in wiki
  • Questions were raised with regard to the status of the SLN Policy Committee and how it would impact the Council and its charge.  C. Hatch will revisit this committee and follow up with the group.
