Denise Burbey received her Master of Science Degree in Adult Education from Buffalo State College with an emphasis in distance learning. She recently completed a post-graduate certificate in Teaching in the Virtual Classroom from Fielding Graduate University. Working in higher education since 1989, Denise coordinated accelerated learning programs across Wisconsin for a private, liberal arts college. She joined JCC in 1997 as a training coordinator for the Continuing Education Department developing contract training programs for business, industry, and community based organizations. She became the Director of Distance Learning at JCC in 2002 where she works with faculty, staff, and administration to develop, promote, and support distance learning initiatives.

Loretta Driskel received her master's degree in educational computing from SUNY College at Buffalo in 2001. Since 2004 she has helped educators at Niagara County Community College integrate technology into their teaching as the campus technology integration specialist and multimedia instructional designer. Loretta has also served as a substitute middle/high school teacher. In addition to working as a MID, she serves as an on campus adjunct faculty member for NCCC, teaching Introduction to Computers and Internet, and as an adjunct faculty member for SUNY College at Buffalo, teaching Computer Fundamentals online.
Larry Dugan is the Coordinator for Learning Environments for Finger Lakes Community College. He has a masters in Education Administration from SUNY Brockport and a BS in Management Science from Nazareth College of Rochester. He has been with Finger Lakes since 1999. He came to FLCC from K-12 teaching/administration where he supported faculty and did extensive faculty development for local districts. Previous to his 22 year life in education, Larry worked in media and advertising in the Rochester area.
Lisa Dubuc is the Coordinator of Distance Learning at Niagara County Community College and also serves as the SLN Campus MID and Academic Coordinator. She holds a MS ED in Educational Computing and a BS Degree in Financial Economics from Buffalo State College. Lisa teaches both online and on campus for the Digital Media program at NCCC teaches online for the Educational Computing Masters program at Buffalo State College, and assists the SUNY SLN and Teaching, Learning, and Technology program with various projects and training.
Kathi Dutton – SUNY Oswego.
Dean Dyer is the instructional technology specialist at Jefferson Community College. His main responsibility is facilitating the integration and availability of instructional technologies, through his role as campus MID and other development initiatives. He is perpetually ABD and theoretically will finish his Ph.D. in instructional systems through Penn State, with an emphasis in educational systems design. Dean holds a master of science in education degree in instructional technology and media management and a bachelor of arts degree in chemistry and 7-12 chemistry education from SUNY Potsdam.
Mary Hallett – Monroe Community College.
Pete Headd is an Assistant Director of Distance Learning at Onondaga Community College. He has B.A.'s in Communications Studies from SUNY Oswego and in Elementary Education from LeMoyne College. He also holds an M.S. in Curriculum Design & Instructional Technology from SUNY Albany, earned via SLN. He is working towards his C.A.S. in Digital Library Science from Syracuse University’s School of Information Studies. Pete most recently worked in New York State public television on initiatives involving distance learning, teacher training and the delivery of digital video to classrooms. He also worked for many years as an elementary teacher in the Syracuse City School District.
Mike Heise has a master's degree in educational leadership from NOVA Southeastern University, a bachelor’s degree in mathematics from SUNY Geneseo, and is certified to teach 7-12 grade mathematics. He is an Assistant Director of Distance Learning at Onondaga Community College, and has previously served as a School Improvement Coordinator, Instructional Technologist and computer instructor for ten years in the state of Nevada. He has designed web-based instructional tools used by students and school districts throughout the country.
Martha Kendall is the training/instructional development specialist for Monroe Community College. She holds an associate of applied science in data processing degree from Genesee Community College, a bachelor of science in agricultural education degree from Cornell University and an associate in applied science in horse husbandry degree from Morrisville Agricultural and Technical College. She has a certificate in distance learning from the State University of West Georgia.
Greg Ketcham is the Assistant Director, Distance Learning for SUNY Oswego. Prior to this appointment, Greg served as an instructional designer for NYSERNet/AppliedTheory , one of the original NSF funded regional Internet networks. Before this immersion in technology, he produced regional and national programming for PBS affiliates WXXI Rochester and WCNY Syracuse. Greg's education includes a master's degree in instructional design from Syracuse University, and a bachelor's in radio and television production from SUNY Oswego. He also serves as an adjunct in Oswego's Computer Science and Information Science programs, and as Coordinator for SUNY Oswego's Professional Development Center.
Ed Kowalski is the MID and the director of the Cayuga On-Line Academy, as well as an adjunct faculty member at CCC. He has taught political science for 24 years at various colleges and universities including Northern Illinois University, SUNY Cortland, Oswego, Utica Rome, and Onondaga Community College. He attended Penn State, and Temple University, where he received a BA in political science and philosophy. - a dual honors degree. He attended Northern Illinois University where he received a MA in political science in 1977, and completed the course work for a Ph. D. He is currently the director of evening and special programs in continuing education at CCC.
Reena Lederman Gerard - is the campus Online Instructional Designer for SUNYIT. She holds an M.Ed. in instructional technology from University of Georgia and a B.A. in Liberal Studies from California State University Polytechnic at Pomona. Prior to her master's studies, Reena taught elementary, Spanish bi-lingual 5th grade in Los Angeles and middle school language arts and reading in both Seattle, and later in Phoenix. While at UGA, she worked with various departments to develop websites and training. In addition, Reena has developed web-based training for the Department of Education and the Navy. Other work experience includes research and consulting for K12, Inc., an education-oriented corporation, and training for DFAS.

Monica Papagni is director of instructional technology for Jefferson Community College in Watertown, New York. She is responsible for the development of technology initiatives and strategic planning; microcomputer hardware and software installation, support, maintenance; and campus-wide staff development for technology. She has been directly involved in the design, development, and faculty training of the College's distance learning program, the award winning Jefferson Community College HomePage, and the design and installation of several electronic classrooms. Monica has a master of science education degree with a specialization in instructional technology and media management and bachelor of arts in mathematics from SUNY Potsdam.
Bill Pelz received a master's degree in psychology - learning systems technology from Indiana University, and holds a C.A.S. in school psychology from SUNY at Albany. He is professor of psychology and coordinator of the Internet Academy at Herkimer County Community College, where he has taught since 1968. He received the Chancellor's Award for Excellence in Teaching 1994, the 2003 Sloan-C award for Excellence in Online Teaching, and the Chancellor's Award for Excellence in Scholarship and Creativity in 2006 and currently provides faculty development training for the SUNY Learning Network.
Kathleen Whitney Pyzynski is the Instructional Designer, Academic Coordinator, and the Assistant Manager of the Department of Information Technology at Maritime College. In addition to various degrees; Kathi holds a NYS certification in Education and is a Microsoft Certified Trainer. After 28 years experience in technology and education, she finds coordinating the college’s Distance Learning program both interesting and rewarding.
Randy Rezabek received his Ph.D. in educational technology from the University of Oklahoma, where he taught both graduate and undergraduate courses in instructional technology, educational computing and information science. He has worked as an instructional designer in a technical training center and at a college of continuing education. Currently he is the coordinator of instructional design at Monroe Community College.
Linda K. Ryder has an MA and MFA from SUNY Albany, has been teaching college art, art history, and technology courses for 20 years and working in Academic Technology and faculty development for the last 10 years. She is an experienced regional and statewide project manager in the arts, education, not-for-profit organizations, and professional development and has worked with state agencies and institutions of higher education throughout the northeast and New England. She is also an exhibiting professional artist specializing in printmaking and site specific installations and teaches advanced printmaking at SUNY Albany.
Vicky Sloan - Vicky Sloan is Online Learning Coordinator and Professor of Humanities at Clinton Community College. She serves as the campus MID and AC for SLN, and teaches literature courses online. For twenty-one years she has taught English, literature, creative writing, and mass media courses at Clinton, Findlandia University in Michigan, and Colorado State University. She has a B.S. in Speech Pathology/Audiology from Northern Michigan University and M.A. in English/Creative Writing from Colorado State.

Bob Yavits holds a bachelor's degree in psychology and a master's degree in communication, both from Ithaca College. He has been helping faculty to use technology for instructional purposes as the instructional software specialist at Tompkins Cortland Community College (TC3) since 1988. He has also taught workshops on various aspects of computer use to employees of Tompkins County, Cornell University, and the general public through TC3's Business Development and Training Center.
