COURSE INFO. DOCUMENT by: Professor Public
Subject: Welcome!
The Demo Course is designed to demonstrate how students interact in courses offered through the SUNY Learning Network (SLN) web site. You will be able to use many of the technical features found within SLN courses. Some password-protected areas are not active but examples are given as to how they work. If you register at a participating college for a course offered through the SLN web site, you can create an SLN account to gain online access to the course. Courses are usually available about a week prior to the start date of the course.

This Demo Course is open to the public and provides areas where any visitor to our site can participate in the course and with other visitors. The SUNY Learning Network is not responsible for the content of any messages posted by visitors to this course and our website. Please note that we purge visitor documents daily. The purpose of this course is to help you decide whether you are comfortable working within the online learning environment and have the appropriate technical skills to complete an online course.

Let's begin with some vocabulary. Your web browser has "buttons" or commands you can use to navigate around the Internet. Within the SLN web site, we provide additional navigation tools specific to the SUNY Learning Network and our courses. There is a link bar at the top and bottom of this page that we will refer to as the "navigation bar." To continue go to the Course Map (see the link below on the navigation bar) and then select the document, Registration vs. Access.
