The world is open for business!   In today’s global market, State University of New York Maritime College graduates are in leadership positions in the maritime industry, business world, law, government and in space as a NASA astronaut.  The choice is yours, all in the great City of New York!  Founded in 1874, the State University of New York Maritime College is an undergraduate and graduate institution focused on engineering, business, science, and maritime transportation.  For 2009, U.S. News & World Report ranked SUNY Maritime College as a top tier baccalaureate college and 21st overall among public baccalaureate colleges in the North.  Maritime’s engineering program consistently ranks among the top 87 in the nation.  In 2009, The Princeton Review named the College a "best northeastern college" in America.

In the Spring of 2004 Maritime began to make graduate courses available in an online (also known as distance learning) environment. Beginning in Fall 2007, the Humanities Department and the Global Business and Transportation department began offering courses online.

The classes available in this mode have grown every term. Currently, the five core courses required in the Masters of Science in International Transportation Management (MS ITM) degree and an additional seven elective courses are available online.  For more information on the MS ITM degree, please visit the Maritime website pages.
